1. What classes do you teach?
BodyPump, PiYo, Cycling, Yoga, TRX and Active Living

2. What certifications do you hold?
CPR/First Aid, Les Mills BodyPump and RPM, BeachBody PiYo Live, TRX Suspension Training, Group Fitness and Personal Training through the American Council on Exercise, and CECs in Pilates, YogaFit for Seniors, YogaFit for Cycling.

3. Favorite part of teaching classes?
My favorite part of teaching classes is helping others achieve things they never thought possible. So many people are intimidated or think they can’t do something. I want to encourage every woman and man to believe in themselves and inspire them to greatness.

4. Why do you teach group fitness?
I’ve always been the type to work out on my own, but I never truly saw results because I didn’t stick with anything long enough. When I had the opportunity to attend fitness classes 5 days a week, that’s where I discovered persistence and consistency would pay off.

We are so blessed to be able to offer so many great classes with so many great instructors in a small town like Monticello. I hope to be able to continue to provide these opportunities for community members to partake in fitness classes for years to come.

5. What motivates you?
I’m motivated by seeing others set goals and crush them. It’s easy to set a goal, but achieving it doesn’t come easy. It’s going the extra mile, choosing to take a chance on yourself, believing in yourself that you can achieve anything you set out to.

It’s when I see others set a plan and stick to it, feel better about themselves or reach personal goals, that I’m truly inspired.

7. What is your career outside of teaching group fitness?
Manager of B.E. Fitness & Training Center

8. Family:
I have a wonderful, supportive husband Dustin, daughters Lily, 6, and Grace, 4, and Baby Will due in April 2018.

9. How long have you been teaching group fitness?
1 year

10. What is your biggest struggle?
Negative self talk. We are our own worst critic. We need to learn to be kinder to ourselves.

11. What is your favorite food?
This is a tough one, but it’s a toss up between potatoes and seafood! I love potatoes every which way, but I don’t always like how I feel after eating too much :/ I can eat an unlimited supply of shrimp, broiled fish and crab, and not regret a thing!
